Hi All,

I have tried some ZMA products on the market and love the results however I have found an increase in acne when aking them. Would Beverly's ZMA be any different? Has anyone around the age of 20-25 used Bev ZMA and if so how has your skin shown up?

Thanks!

Anthony.

ZMA doesn't cause acne.

It could be the rise of testosterone due to a better sleep.

There are other factors. What else are you taking?

I take Glutamine Select + BCAA's, Fish/Flax Oil, Creatine and an Australian Protein Powder. The only reason I don't take Bev'protein powders is because they don't allow them through customs here in Australia. Pretty weird considering Australia is one of the biggest manufacturers of protein powder around the world. They say it is due to the foot and mouth disease, and anything derived from milk in another country like Whey protein is banned.

Obviously when increaing my simple sugar intake, my acne gets worse, so I am very cautious of that.

Thanks Frank.

You are quite welcome.

Are you the one living in or near Perth? Smile

As for the creatine, is that Beverly or is it from another manufacturer that puts sugars in it?

That's another thing, creatine will work better with another transport such as Gatorade. I'll use Gatorade with Muscle Synergy.

There are many causes for acne or a few bumps here and there. One is diet, which you seemed to have narrowed down the simple sugars. The only thing I can suggest about the supplements and increased acne would be to discontinue all and introduce them back one by one, perhaps on a weekly basis. I curious to see if it would be Glutamine Select.

Frank - No I live in Adelaide not Perth.

The Creatine is Isatori's Meta Cel which does have 5 grams of sugar per serve. I prefer this supp as it a new form of creatine malate which doesn't require any loading. Hence if I take it before and after training that's only 10 grams of sugar. Bev's Creatine Select has 5 grams of carbs per serve, so when taking 4-6 serves a day due to loading, that means an extra 20-30grams of carbs. Is this a poor way to look at it do you think?

I'm sure it's not Bev'S Gluamtine Select. I love that supp, great for recovery and immune system. I have found Whey Protein Concentrates at about 75 to 80% protein to flare up my skin while Whey Protein Isolates don't affect my skin as they are virtually sugar and carb free. I think it is the carbs/sugars in the WPC that affect me. It's a real pain the back side as I get better results with WPCs than WPI's. Can't wait to get over this.

Is there any way I can try Bev's Muscle Provider in Australia?

Sorry about the wrong location. Wink

If you're a beef eater, you really don't need to load creatine, which I've never been a fan of creatine and I don't believe in the loading process. Stick with Creatine Select, just don't load. Empty stomach prior to workout.

I may be looking at Creatine Select, though. I can get great pumps with creatine but I have to be careful about muscle strains, mainly in the legs. I don't have that problem when I'm not using creatine. It's definite problem.

My favorite is Ultimate Muscle Protein. Man, that stuff is good tasting. Now, sometimes we get carried away and are only concerned about taste. The best protein tastes horrible!

Creatine + Muscle Synergy prior to workout = PUMP

When I'm leaving the gym, I do not look like the same person that walked in.

Perhaps you can talk to your agencies to see if MP will be allowed.

Hi Ivanov

I'm from Perth, Australia. First i want to share with you on my experience on getting Beverly's protein into Australia. I bought UMP, Muscle Provider and Ultra Size into Australia without any problems, twice my shipment was not open, once was open and it passed through safely. However few weeks ago i did bought 2x UMP, and now it is on hold under custom. Isn't too much a big deal cause i had sent them an email declaration from Beverly stating the protein contains less than 10% protein. Still waiting for their reply.

As for acne, i used to have acne when i was younger, i would attribute this to the protein i was using which was ON 100% whey, after i change to Beverly's protein i have no acne at all, so i guess its due to the quality ON uses or perhaps it might be i have aged thus the hormone has become balance.

I took GNC creatine monohydrate, Cell Tech, Size On and Superpump before but all the products i took cause me acne. Superpump and Size On was one of the worst, after one or two times of taking, a day or two i got real BIG acne on my face or back, my verdict is the product has impurities. After that few trial i stop using creatine.

However i decide to give creatine select a last chance to test is it really that i'm allergy to creatine, to my surprise i have no acne at all. This proves the purity of Beverly's creatine select.

I personally trust Beverly's product, top notch!!

Hey Mate - Good to meet you. So where abouts do you purchase Bev's protein powder from? Direct from Beverly or Bodybuilding.com or somewhere else???

I have used Bev's creatine Select and can almost guarantee you this will not cuase any acne. I have yet to come across a ZMA supp that doesn't cause acne however I may give Bev's ZMA a shot shortly. How old are you? Have you tried their ZMA?

Thanks!

Hi Ivanov

I purchase it from NP, however a tip for you if you were to get Beverly's protein, you need to get a manufacturer declaration letter from Beverly, and when you purchase ask the people to put the letter in the consignment. This would prevent hassle.

The protein that was ceased has been released from custom, however its a hassle as the custom is not very cooperative, it took me a week for my documents to be process. Currently I have 3x new UMP and 1x MP for my future use.

I'm 23, I never tried their ZMA before, however I took other brand, I don't find any difference at all. Perhaps my body is not lack of any of those minerals.

Do you take multi? If you do i highly recommend Beverly Super Pak, you can feel the difference in taking it and its better than Animal Pak based on my experience.
