Does anybody have experience with a product called Stemulite? It has received a fair amount of positive press over the last several months.

Don't really know yet. Not enough info on the topic as far as a supplement?? IF you are seeing supplements claiming to be this active compound, they are porbably ****. The problem is that this "compound" is used in the repair/remodeling phases of healing, and I am not particularly sure that it can be harnessed as an oral supplement yet? I don't know for sure and maybe I am wrong, but I will wait for more facts and a few more years of research.
Here is part of a study that was conducted in MY HOMETOWN!! Ottawa, Canada (O-town): Physiol Rev. 2004 Jan;84(1):209-38. Cellular and molecular regulation of muscle regeneration. Chargé SB, Rudnicki MA. Ottawa Health Research Institute, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Upon injury, skeletal muscle has the remarkable ability to initiate a rapid and extensive repair process preventing the loss of muscle mass. Skeletal muscle repair is a highly synchronized process involving the activation of various cellular responses. The initial phase of muscle repair is characterized by necrosis of the damaged tissue and activation of an inflammatory response. This phase is rapidly followed by activation of myogenic cells to proliferate, differentiate, and fuse leading to new myofiber formation and reconstitution of a functional contractile apparatus. Activation of adult muscle satellite cells is a key element in this process. Muscle satellite cell activation resembles embryonic myogenesis in several ways including the de novo induction of the myogenic regulatory factors. Signaling factors released during the regenerating process have been identified, but their functions remain to be fully defined. In addition, recent evidence supports the possible contribution of adult stem cells in the muscle regeneration process. In particular, bone marrow-derived and muscle-derived stem cells contribute to new myofiber formation and to the satellite cell pool after injury. Vijay Rock Puri, D.C. |

The last I heard from NPC Pros and a couple of top-end competitors - the little power pills (M&Ms) are better. This is from the natural side, not those with the oil-based creatine.

Hello Frank,
What exactly are you saying? I am not following your point. |

"Oil-based creatine" is my way of saying steriods. Those evaluating Stemulite consider it another marketing hype that leaves body builders with a bad taste of being ripped off. Here's an exerpt:
"I am convinced that Dr. Summers and his team of researchers must also be philosophers and/or poets as they "talk their BS" and sling around pun-loaded words and phrases such as "seems as though," "appears," "perhaps," "can have the ability" ... to mention a few. Being and avid reader, I am fully aware when propaganda is being dangled before me. The more I read, the more ******** I encountered. Turns out Dr. Summers latest formula Stemulite is just a stronger reformulation of Endothil, which essentially does the same exact thing. Endothil was marketed a few years ago and flopped. Being an active member of the bodybuilding community for the last fifteen years, I have seen, read, heard, and tried just about every bodybuilding supplement imaginable. It is because of this experience that I am very skeptical when bold new claims emerge. With cautious curiosity, I spent the next couple of hours researching the product. Before I even read about what others had to say about the product, I wanted to learn more about it’s developer. The only information that I was able to gather was that it was developed by Dr. David Summers. He claims that through medical breakthrough in stem cell research, he was able to create a natural dietary supplement that pretty much covers the entire gamut of health care concerns ... you got it ... Stemulite has something for literally everyone." He goes on to say: "Can Stemulite make you a better bodybuilder or athlete? Well, that really depends on how resilient you are to the power of suggestion. If a hypnotist can make you cluck like a chicken or do something else that is utterly ridiculous, then YES! In other words, if the product legitimately works, then why the heck do they find the need to inject words and phrases such as "perhaps" and "seems as though." In case you haven’t figured it out, the "good" doctor and his associates are just being careful so that they don’t get sued for making outrageous claims. They do ... but in a "pun-ny" kind of way ... but I’m not amused ... LOL. According to the Stemulite team, the product magically awakens dormant or "sleeping" stem cells so that they can team up with the ones that are already active and produce muscle fiber at a faster rate, thus replacing muscle fibers that have been broken or damaged due to exercise; all in all, decreasing recovery time. Sounds really good theoretically, but in actuality there are way too many factors that are being left out of the equation. It is not rocket science that if you breakdown muscle fibers through consistent and regular workout, "feed the machine," and get adequate rest, it will grow on its own. Now if I can only bottle that! Dr. Summers claims that Stemulite was developed utilizing the latest stem-cell research breakthroughs and yet his website clearly states that more research will be needed for further verification of results. Interesting to note is that the active ingredients in both male and female formulas is alpha-lipoic acid (ALA) and L-carnatine, both of which are much more cost-efficient to buy individually and mixed together versus buying the Stemulite product. Therefore whether Stemulite works or not is of little or no consequence as the active ingredients have been around for quite some time ... absolutely no scientific breakthrough to be had." I would like to know more of what Dr. Summers has brought into this world of body building, mankind, etc. Now, if it was Dr. Serrano, maybe it would spark my interest. Frank "Lift and be happy.
