I started taking the Uplift after Jason tried it and gave it his approval. It helps power me through the workouts but I am having difficulty getting to sleep at night after I take it at about 4:30 in the afternoon. Not a bad thing for it to still have an affect later at night when I am doing my posing but I need to get to bed at a decent hour.
Also, I only take it prior to trng, not cardio. One because I can get thru the cardio without it, two its a bit expensive to take every day if I don't HAVE to have it to get thru the workout.
Could have DEFINETLY tried this product in the final 2 weeks of my current contest prep!! WOuld have made a big difference in the quality of the workouts for sure! More than likely try it for the next contest prep. Next time...
Plus I was examining the usage of a stack: Glutamine Select, Density, and Energy Reserve all in conjunction as a pre-during-post workout primer (and in between meals also) and I didn't want conflicting results from the UP-Lift and this new Stack I was trying...
P.S. THIS STACK WAS AMAZING IN KEEPING THAT LEAN BODY MASS from dropping in the final few weeks of contest prep!!!! It was like a natural version of DECA!! LOL!!!! (not that I would know what that would be like, but just according to the science behind nandrolone....whatever...) Whoo Hoo- for GS, Density, and ER!!!

So how did you go about taking the Stack...timing and amounts of each? Did you take anything pre-workout when I'm assuming you took the UP-Lift? I'm trying to find a good stack to lose some weight I've put on lately. I've started with diet and need advise on a stack, thanks!!

mcdds, the stack I used was of Glutamine Select, Density, and Energy Reserve. I used 1 scoops GS, 3 Density, and 1/2 Energy Reserve Tab in between my meals and another stack like this before and immediately after my workout...
But notice, I was using it SOLELY in the last 4 weeks of contest prep when becoming anti-catabolic from dieting was the main concern. Did it help shed more body-fat; YES! Did it help me retain and actually put on lean mass; YES! But it was all in conjunction with a 6 week plan from one contest to another, to help give me an edge and hold onto all that precious muscle.
Thats not to say that it wouldn't work for you, as I can almost guarentee that it would! However, it MUST be used in conjunction with correct dieting and only after the diet has "stalled out" (usually after 8 weeks or so depending on certain variables).

I have been taking Uplift for two weeks, and this morning was my first "bad" experience. But, this was 100% my fault. I woke up a bit late for my 6 am work out, so I just had a shake, waited about 20-30 min and then had my uplift. Man I had a roaring stomach ache during my leg work out. I have NEVER had this problem before, because I had used it later in the day. So I will say this "negative" is my fault all the way. Otherwise the product is so amazing. Great pumps, it has seemed to help shed some water too. The energy is great. The Niacin and Beta Alanine gives me that amazing tingly/hot feeling when lifting, and its not uncomfortable at all. No flushing, just that feeling. I would recommend to everyone.
next time, if you wake up late....have the Up-Lift first....then have the shake. It'll give some time to get into your system before you have the shake. I've found that if I eat first, then have it, it takes a lot longer to hit me and I get stomache or indigestion. Def makes a huge diff when you take it...I pour sweat...lol.

What is in this that makes me get so hot? Sometimes I feel like I'm going to overheat...it's like I CAN'T sweat! I drink enough water (spend half my day in b.r it seems..lol) so dehydration isn't the problem. I pour sweat when I take it before cardio but for some reason it does not have same effect when I take it before I lift (sweating). Anyone have any thoughts???

I don't know but my body is a furnace during trng and I do sweat. It magnifies when doing cardio. But I just love the warm fuzzy I get from Uplift and am completely willing to sweat for that feeling and the increased "umph" in the workout. I don't take it off-season, I only brought it into the mix towards the end of the pre-contest diet when I needed that extra kick. It's too expensive for me to take every day. I figure it's about $40 for a two week supply if taken every day.
That Warm or HOT feeling you get is from the Niacin in the Up-Lift. Niacin is just a B-Vitamin but it works to stimulate the parasympathetic system (i think) and opens up all your pores as a result. This is referred to as "the FLUSH". A hefty dose of non-flush Niacin will do it EVERY time. A lot of bodybuilders like to take it before they go onstage cuz its also supposed to help Vaso-Dilate blood vessels and therefore, bring out your veins....
Anyways, I have been using Up-Lift for the past 2 weeks and I am NOT on a pre-contest or calorie restricted plan, so the results from the actual product are NOT what I would expect compared to if I was using it pre-contest. Personally, I would prefer 12 tabs of Muscle Synergy over Up-Lift in the off-season. I find the pumps to be better with the MUscle Synergy anyways. Just my 2 cents.

I swim early, too--5:15 a.m. Is an apple okay to eat with Uplift or will that make me nautious, too. I feel like I need some quick carbs. I swim at least 1 hr., 15 min. with a team.
the beta alanine will also produce the warm feeling and the flushing atleast with my experience. ive taken beta alanine by itself preworkout and it makes my skin tingle and gives me a warming flush sensation

Lindy
you swim for an hour with just an apple in the system???
She needs to see what Michael Phelps eats to fuel his swimming. Oh wait, maybe he eats so much because he gets the "munchies." Sorry, I couldn't resist.
