I have always loved my MP chocolate, but have sooo long to go before my comp., I wanted something different. So, I bought MP in Vanilla. I am so disappointed, the flavor is great, but it is so much thinner, if I put ice in it comes out all icy/clumpy. Anyone else experience this? Now I'm stuck with a whole container.... Confused

Wow, I just got some Vanilla MP and see what you mean. I added a tablespoon of Citrucell to thicken it up a bit

I have seen that the closer your protein source gets to being pure whey protein islolate, the thinner that liquid will become!! There no real binding agents or milk proteins like the ones found in UMP or Ultra size!! When I use my straight Whey protein isolate, VP2, and I add it to my oatmeal the mix actually gets thinner, but its the sacrifice one must make when coming down to a precontest diet!!
Quote from Dr. Joe K
"When using a powder before, during, and after a workout, you’re best served with a low molecular weight, undenatured powder, the best of which are either enzyme hydrolyzed or cross flow micro-filtered whey isolates. Like a high-glycemic carb, it gets to your muscle faster."

Interesting, I am pre-contest by 10 days now - does adding citrucell defeat the purpose. I'm thinking citrucell = carbs so it probably is

If there's even small spots where you can use smaller portions of oamteal heat it and then add the MP to it it can help a little!!

The interesting thing is that the same protein (MP) in chocolate mixes up just fine.....it's only the vanilla.

I've read that you can add xanthan gum to a shake to thicken it up...adds a bit of fiber too. Or, if it fits in you diet add some SF FF Instant Pudding.
