I am currently 8 weeks out from the 2008 NPC Hurrican Bay Bodybuilding, Fitness and Figure Championships in Tampa FL. Our one and only Jason Theobald is my coach and is helping me get ready for this show. I started with back in May and he completed transformed my body. I have put on 5.31lbs of lean mass and have dropped my body fat lbs from 17.21 to 14.99. My goal is to go in at 10lbs of body fat. I love the contest prep diet Jason has designed for me. It's great being able to eat so much food while gaining lean mass and dropping body fat lbs. Right now I am at 50 above saturation for carbs, 2xlbm for protein and 15% fat. The diet is working really well for me. Not only has my physique improved but my strenght as well. I just had a baby 4 months ago so I am so excited to be compeiting again. I will keep everyone posted on my progress Smile Wish me luck!!!!

Here is a link to a pic of me at 8 weeks.

Isn't amazing what a good diet and hard work in the gym can do?! Understanding those macros and manipulating them takes just about as much work (mind) as it does hitting the treadmill on an empty stomach.

Jason, keep it going!

Congratulations and keep listening to J!

Jared. I just order a new one peice suit from Cythina James. She is the top Suit designer or Figure and Fitness. I tried to get a used suit on divaexchange.com but they were just as expensive as buying a new suit. I only paid $300 for my two piece. I am not sure what your gf's budget is but I would highly recommend to get a new suit if she can. This way the suit will be made to fit her body and your suit needs to fit you like a glove. I learned the hard way in my first show. I lost some points because my two piece top did not fit me very well. Tell her to goggle figure compeition suits and lots of sites will come up.

Pennys metabolism is unreal we just kept feeding and feeding her and the weight kept dropping. Finally I said no cardio and TRY THIS diet. I thought for sure she would gain fat, but nope 3.5 lbs lbm and no fat gain at all.

Lets dial it in now.

Hey Penny! Pic looks great! J does a bang up job. I have him looking after a buddy of mine who competes in the WNBF this weekend and I KNOW he is gonna look fantastic.

Personally, I am gonna have J do my last 2 weeks of my own contest prep! You've just gotta love the power of the "white Potato"! LOL!! Seriously, a few months ago I would have laughed in your face if you told me to use White Potatoe on a contest diet plan. But boy, I haven't been this FULL looking and feeling on a pre-contest diet before and the only thing I've changed is the addition of 20 oz. of White Potato!!!

J is becoming the new Dan Duchesne. Good luck Penny!

Yeah!!! I did not realize how high my metabolisim actaully was still I started working with J. He has actaully made me realize that I can "EAT" in off season and not gain much fat. My husband would always tell me that I needed to eat more and stop the cardio in order to fill out and gain any muscle but of course I did not listen. After this season of competeing and I finally get into the off season you can bet I am going to eat. Poor Jason though I have probably been his most annoying client Wink. He get's an email from just about every day with question after question!!! SORRY J Razz

I don't know Penny. I am about 14 weeks out and the number of questions that I punt to Jason could be comparable. LOL. And the speed at which he responds will part your hair down the middle. Wink I ask questions about why he recommends what he does because this is a learning process for me too. I saw him on the 20th of this month for the first time. Luckily he's only 45 mins away and I can meet with him every 2 weeks. He got to know me with the first diet on week one, cut the diet beginning week 2 and now is adding in HIIT 3 x's per week.

Hey AF Chiq!!! That is so awesome you get to meet with Jason. Unfortunetely I don't have that luxury because I live in FL. WOW I cannot believe J has you doing HIIT? I am 7 weeks out now and only doing 30mins LIT cardio every morning and still has me 50+ saturation, 2xlbm for protein and he just dropped my fats to 15%. But like I've said the diet is working great. I am seeing HUGE improvements in my phisyque and I am liking it. My husband Greg Daniels ( you can search his name on the Bev website and read some articles he has written) is even trying the diet and he has been on the same diet for last 6 years. The basic Bev cookie cutter diet. But hey he can't complain because that diet did help him earn his pro card. But he loves this diet J has come up with. He is for sure feeling out as well. Our favorite meal is the MP and oatmeal at night. YUMMY!!!!

I hope you do well at your contest. Which one are you entering? Figure right?

everyone is different, cant make just one general plan and hope it works for everyone. I baseline and go from there, ALWAYAS with the intent of eating as much as possible and losing 2 lbs of fat per week tops.

I definitely like Jason's approach which is to keep me fed and not starving. I am usually pretty cheerful and talkative but if I am hungry all the time because of a diet, I can get quite cranky. Who wants to be that way, and who would want to be around me? So, keep me fed Jason and I will keep the claws retracted. LOL. If only I were like Penny where you had to keep upping her calories. Wink Some of us are more fortunate than others when it comes to metabolism.

Dont get to used to it, I dont subscribe to one form of dieting Ill just try to keep as much food as possible, but I have no problem cutting you to get you to your goal, some peopls bodies are more stubborn we'll know more sunday.

This is why J's diet works. He does not give everyone the same diet and I love that. Everyone is different in MANY ways and I would have never thought I could eat this much food and do no cardio and not gain an ounce of fat. I have already made up my mind that J is going to be my permanant coach for all my shows. Sorry J you are stuck with me and my millions of questions Smile

I think the ground turkey and brown rice is the best. Make a stir fry out of it with some lettuce, the turkey and rice with some jalapenos. Then use some hot sauce, I love it!!!

That does sound good but I don't have turkey and brown rice in my meal plan. I have brown rice and MP. Which is a really good meal as well. You are probably going to think this is gross but I like to put cinnamon and stevai in my rice and then I blend me up a choclate shake. It's a pretty good sweet meal Smile
