I know you have done inbf in pakipse (sp!!) area. how was it??? i had seen coverage in the mag and it looked like no women competed at all. thanks

Hi Tammy,

We're getting to be old friends here. Well, when I say "old", I must speak for myself! Yes, I highly recommend the INBF NYS promoted by Matt Johnson who operates Stimpson's House of Nutrition in Poughkeepsie. Smooth running show from start to finish with plenty of free giveaways for the contestants.
Just a little side note; In 2001 I won the Open Lightweight and Master's and thought I had secured a WNBF Pro card, only to discover afterwards that the show was not a Pro Qualifier. It was a huge letdown but the oversight was my own fault. If you are seeking a Pro Qualifying INBF event, the next one would be in Sept the Supernatural in NYC.
On Oct 2 I will invade the pro ranks (LOL) which will be a pinnacle in my career. What makes it even more so will be the opportunity to go head to head with my good friend Sean Sullivan,aka "Sulcop", who is one of the finest natural competitors I have ever seen. If this show should disqualify me from future INBF competitions, I'll try and attend the Poughkeepsie show regardless, to cheer you on and assist you in any way I can to ensure you perform at your best.

Whatever you decide, I support you 100%.

THE PRO QUALIFIER is an issue fir me as that is my goal for the next year. i am doing a usbf in nov and wanted to another one close. nyc is out, too $$ to stay and travel to. i will have to check to see if they changed it this year. thanks for your input. you and sully on a stage together, thats worth the trip!

Does anyone know if there will be a women's pro division offered? If so, what are the entrance qualifications?

BTW, what are the qualifications for the men's pros? Is it open to pros from all federations, to any winner of an overall title, or ..............???

Although not 100% sure, I believe a Pro Card is given to the overall winner of a NBI/USBF event.
Limited only to the men. This is confusing, as the women's figure division alone at the NBI NYS June 19 was outstanding. Any one of them in my estimation was deserving of a pro card.

To be sure, log on to www.nbibodybuilding.com and you will be given contact info concerning various officials of the org. whom you can E-mail directly for specific concerns.

I also believe that all WNBF, NBI and NGA pro's are allowed to compete in their respected federations only.

Tim, are you or is anyone else competing or attending the USBF show in Syracuse Nov 6? I'm thinking of doing the Pro Master's and would love to meet up with some friends here from the board, since I travel to my shows solo.

I am doing this show as is LT (leslie). Val is going as a trainer and helper for *** and me. i also think jodi (run4fun) is going. looks like quite a few from the bev family!!!!

To my knowledge, the WNBF is the only drug-tested organization that tries to restrict where their pros compete, meaning WNBF only.

There is a women's pro division being offered at the 11/6 USBF show, so there is a chance my wife and I may be there. For this show, they are opening their doors to anyone who has quailfied as a pro in any organization plus I believe anyone who has won an overall title. There is also a chance that the USBF show on 10/23 will have a women's pro division, along with the men's pro division already being offered.

I just got this email from Felix of the NBI regarding the 10/2 show:
