When he has time I hope that Aram will let us know which competitions he decided to do and how everything went. He had three in mind, but I'm not certain which ones he decided to go for.

Aram so willingly offers so many board members here his advice and expertise I know that he has a big fan club Smile

We wish you well my friend. Bring home a couple more Natural PRO cards would ya - as long as you are there anyway... Wink

Man, I can never get these pro qualifier shows straight. I thought I just competed in one Confused (INBF 2005 NYS Championship Master's PRO QUALIFIER) but was told at the show that it was not. LOL. Too many pro quals nowadays. Well I ended up winning the Master's, overall anyway in a tough field of 9 or 10 guys, any one of whom could've been first with no complaints. I got lucky and ended up holding the wild card. There were at least 3 NPC champion guys in there including Beverly athlete NPC Master's and middleweight champion Bobby Simmons who took me to the edge. This guy gives new meaning to the words "cut and vascular" Eek

This has been the 4th time I have won this title however it was the toughest show I've ever prepared for, after my sternum injury and calf tear this July. The most devastating blow being the passing of my girlfriend 5 weeks ago, making me question whether I could continue with bodybuilding, much less my life. This one was for her. BABY I DID IT!! Smile

Congratulations Aram - this was an awsome accomplishment especially doing so before you were fully recovered from a couple of significant injuries.

I'm glad that you are out front setting the bar higher for me as another masters competitor who hopes to continue to improve from year to year.

Excellent work my friend, you continue to be an inspiration to me when it comes to the sport of natural BBing. Smile

Aram, sorry about the passing of your girlfriend. You are a man of strong will and a man that a lot of people look up to, more people than you realise.---- Was that the show in Pougkeepsie, NY ??? Maybe you got mixed up with the one in Phoenix,Arizona, that one was a Masters' Pro-qualifier this pass weekend. I did that show and now every muscle in my body hurt and this never happened before, I'm sore from my traps to my calves. Good luck on your powerlifting meets in the coming year. -- I have a friend who writes for Powerlifting USA magazine. Take care of yourself and try to stay injury-free.

Aram,

I'm sure she was there with you, cheered you on and even though you lost her, she knows you couldn't have done it without her support. She was there. Congratulations.

Well they say that bodybuilding is a solitary endeavor. For me,it is. But it can also transcend into an atmosphere of interdependence. I wanna say that all you people inspire ME! Smile

Aram, My first time posting on this board. However, wanted to let you know that I had the opportunity to attend the show in Poughkeepsie this past weekend. Your physique simply put is amazing! Your muscle maturity and symmetry was unmatched. You are right, what a competitive open class. What did you think of Louis Santiago. You, Louis S, and Bobby Simmons, were all very impressive, and all brought very different physiques to the stage. Being at the show has actually motivated/inspired me to compete in my first show. NBI Tri-State 06, roughly 4.5 months away. I'm sure I will be on the boards for advice soon.

Great job!

Gianni,

Thank you for your ill-deserved compliments (but they're always good to hear Smile ) and welcome to the Beverly boards. This show was a comeback show for me after a year off due to injuries and other issues. My assessment of the competitors you mention is as I stated previously... ANY one of us could've won. I knew going in, that the competition was going to be extremely fierce. But I didn't want it any other way. Freddie Borzumato, who won the show last year, came in 4th, yet this was the leanest I'd seen him, and he was just coming off a NABBA win in a non-tested show. Very tough.

I highly recommend doing the NBI show next year! Felix Carona and Angel Santiago run a great show! I compete as a Pro in that organization, in their yearly NBI/USA PRO AM Bodybuilding and Figure Championships.

I, as well as the members of this board will do all we can to help you prepare for your first show. Please don't be reluctant to contact me personally if you wish, as I will help you in any capacity I can. You will find the atmosphere on this board very supportive and friendly, so please let us know.

Good luck and thanks again! Smile

A

Aram, Just wanted to let you know that it was a pleasure competing against you. Your package was ready on oct. 15. I hope you have a good upcoming holiday season and stay focused and healthy. Looking foreward to next oct. in N.Y. allready. Also thanks for the salt. I guess I needed a little more than salt to take you down. God Bless. Big Bob.

Bob... you're all class buddy. Congrats on a stellar performance in every respect. Your cruel and unrestrained competitive nature is unmatched. It's rare individuals like yourself, who motivate me to remain focused in and out of the gym. Happy holidays to you and your family. Smile

Jason you crack me up bro. What J meant to say by doing "quite well" was that he almost won the entire DANG SHOW!!! Eek Came in second in the overall in his first show, losing to a guy that outweighed him by 50 lbs.

When you get a chance J, post up those links to the pics. Jason was actually around 5.5% at 7 weeks out, and through his hard work and determination, was able to put muscle on going into the show while his bodyfat levels reached the sub 4% ranges.

Congrats dude! Smile

J - If you want to follow in Arams footsteps you have another 60 years of competitive BBing ahead of you and will have to chalk up 742 shows Roll Eyes

Actually - Aram knows that I consider him a great roll model for other natural BBers to emulate. He has an outstanding record of accomplishment - but he is a shy little bunny and he does not like it when I mention it Wink
