Thank you, Jason. It was a great started show. The polygraph was nerve wrecking though! I'm excited to do more shows! I want to work on adding more mass (especially in the legs) but we all begin somewhere! =)
The contest was fabulous and yet another great experience!
I got 1st place in my class--woohoo!!
This time around there was not as much competition as my last contest in September so I really lucked out(6 gals in my height class total). The gal who won overall looked absolutely amazing and deserved that win and more! It was fun, fun, fun! So I've been taking a short break from this intense training and dieting. It's funny because you would think my cravings would be for all the junky foods- pizza, sweets, etc- but rather my cravings are for the healthy choices- except in larger amounts. I am eating spoonfuls of almond butter (sometimes 2-3 tbsps!) on rice crackers. Strange! I will post pictures when I get them!
Now I gotta venture onto the dieting forum to see what to do now! I've been dieting for contest prep since June 2007, when I started 16 weeks out from my september show.
Wow...you've done well! Congratulations on your placing!
Cravings. Let me tell you a little bit about them. You've dieted all year and now, there are not any cravings for junk. Just be careful, especially if you plan to compete next year. Stay with your diet, but add in any carbs early in the day. Continue to avoid sugar.
Those spikes will be ok so long as you don't do consecutive cheats. Keep the cheats at least 3 days apart. They will come in and HAUNT you. If you can maintain, add about 500 calories per day every other day and you'll see some added shoulders.
Again, CONGRATULATIONS!

Great advice! Thank you. I've been playing it safe now by sticking to a lean gain diet. I plan to compete possibly in March (not sure), but definitely in June (locally). So my goal is to gain a little more size but keep lean so I don't have to kill myself with intense double cardio sessions.
