Does anyone see a problem with buckwheat pancakes? I use only water with the mix and the mix it self is not of your typical highly refined variety.During my hiatus I have picked up several bad habits unfortunately I have grown accustom to having them and feel somewhat depraved I mean deprived if they are not included with my morning meal.

For truth, justice and the American way!

I don't feel as if buckwheat pancakes are the antichrist or anything. Probably not as good as other carb sources but, unless you are trying to get the leanest possible for a show or something you should be fine. I eat buckwheat pancakes sometimes myself. Typically I mix up 2/3 cup of the pancake mix with 1 scoop vanilla ultra size 3 egg whites water and a little baking powder also sometimes add half a banana and some blueberries to the mix pretty good stuff.

Ah - the pancake addiction...almost as addictive as Peanut Butter. I fell into this trap today, the house smells of fresh pancakes..."Dad, there is just enough for one more do you want it?" Ok, I say, one won't hurt me, but then I start feeling guilty and after two bites I make my Staffordshire Terrier very happy. Molly really liked the rest of my pancake and I stopped feeling guilty. Problem solved...and no one else saw a thing - lol

I love buckwheat pancakes and my body responds really well to them. Fortunately, I can get very lean with a high carbohydrate diet. The biggest reason I like the buckwheat pancakes is that it is very transportable. I mix 11 egg whits, 1 whole and 1 cup of pancake mix. I usually eat this 1 and 1/2 hours after my after post workout shake. I have it cooked ahead of time for when I am on the go. I substitute it for egg and oatmeal pancakes.

Dwayne,
I mix 11 egg whites and 1 whole with 1 cup of oatmeal in a bowl. I then, depending on the day, add either 2 tbs of ground cinnamon or unsweetened cocoa powder and 2 packets of sweet n low. From there i just fry it in a skillet like a pancake. I like to eat it cold for breakfast on my way to work and it cuts easily into 4 sections once it cools down.

An alternative is to decrease the number of eggs and add 1 scoop of Muscle Provider. It taste great and you don't even need to add the extra sweeteners.

Sean

P.S. I love that quote at the end of your posts!
