fast question on Figure plan A (meal 3)

I'm probably being dumb...but I hope someone can help me out.

On Figure "Lose Fat" Diet Plan A meal #3 says:

1 cup vegetables (broccoli, etc.) or 2 cups green salad with 2 Tbs Vinegar and Oil Dressing

Does that mean you only use the 2 Tbs dressing with the oil fat source if you have the green salad or do you use that whether you have broccoli or salad with the meal? Seems like the calories in 1 cup of broccoli with no added fat source would be a lot lower than 2 cups of salad with 2 TBS of dressing but the way I'm reading it makes me think the dressing (and fat) is only used if you pick salad this meal?

Help? Thanks so much! Smile

if you are going to exchange this it would be the salad for the broccoli and would still include the dressing or vinegar!

I mean 2 tbl of oil seems to be a lot as that would almost 26 g's of fat, just have to check on that with beverly.

most women would be good to get about 4-8 g of fat per meal, otherwise i would see that to be too much and that would equate to a tsp of oil(4.7 g f fat) or 1/2 tbl(6.5 g of fat) of oil

CY is correct, it is either the salad or veggie substitute.
2 TBSP refers to a vinegar and oil type salad dressing (we like Newman's Own - 2 TB is about 15g fat and 150 calories).
You can choose to use this on your veggies too, if you like that sort of thing.

So it really is then 2 tbl of fat source for 15 grams vs CY's suggestion of just 1 tsp?

do you really think 15 g's of fat is the right amount for 100 lb female, comon, way too much, the most I would try and ingest a once is about 10-12 g's. for you probably half of that,5-6 g's at once.

I use the dressing with salad or broccoli most of the time when following this plan. If you don’t like dressing on your non salad veggies you could skip it, just be sure you are getting enough healthy fats each day. Like CR said, we use Paul Newman’s Oil & Vinegar dressing as a reference. It’s equivalent to about 1 tbsp olive oil and 1 tbsp vinegar. Plain Oil and vinegar is fine too, but Paul Newman’s has some added herbs and spices and tastes great.

Figure Lose Fat Diet Plan A is the plan that 75% of females wanting to build muscle and lose fat will start with. Someone 115 pounds or lighter would begin with Figure Lose Fat Diet Plan B, which has less calories to accommodate for lower weight. If you know that you are sensitive to fats, you can always adjust the plan to meet your needs best. For anyone looking for the great benefits of EFA's without the extra calories, EFA Gold is a great choice.

These are both awesome plans and when adhered to fully produce great results. When a plateau in fat loss is hit, then it’s time to move to another phase in the book, which will reduce calories further.

The Figure Plan A and B plans that I am referring to are in the Pre Contest Workshop Manual. I believe they are pages 11 & 12.

For an average size almond, it would be about 15, but I recommend checking on your particular package of almonds and double checking that against the nutrition label on almond butter.

You can also look at places online like www.calorieking.com for great comparison info.
