I followed the max fat loss program in 04 and got good results taking 2nd in a masters heavyweight division at a local contest after 12 year away from competing. I'm basically in the same shape now as I was before I started my diet in 04 (not good) I'd like to get back to single digit bf for health and personal satisfaction, but I don't want to reach a deadline where I just blow back up to a fat out of shape 46 year old. I really think the low carb diet will work, but what do I do to maintain when I reach my goal. Don't think I want to stay on 50pro,20 carbs, and 30%fat for a lifetime. Any suggestions from you guys?

Thanks

Depending on the amount of fat you're holding, the 50:20:30 may be good starter for you. In fact, I toss that idea around for me. If you're going to attempt it, do the carb up day every other day for starters, at least for three weeks, then go to the 2X carb up.

Thanks Frank,

I actually started on the 4 phase Todd Jackson diet program today, in that I don't really have a rush to reach a deadline I believe I can move there slower and save or even build a little muscle along the way. Question still remains how do I maintain after I get there?
