I've heard different things relating to eating before a workout. If your trying to lean out and gain lean muscle mass, should you eat prior to your workout and if so, what foods would be optimal? Or, is it better to not eat before a workout if you're wanting to gain lean muscle mass?
I always eat before I workout. About 1 hour to 1 1/2 hour before I workout. I eat 6-8oz of lean ground beef 90% or leaner. I also eat anywhere from 3/4 to 1 cup of oatmeal. I feel light headed and don't have much energy afterwards. I am one that benefits from eating before.
