ok.. I did a show two years ago.. i kept my carbs on the lower end... it seemed like in my pics all i lost is size.. and my bf% didnt seem to lower.. this summer i at about 50% carbs.. i got WAY leaner.. leaner then when i did the show.. and my strength skirocketed.. now i am dieting again.. did my first at the northern as a warmup and lookin to be pretty shredded for my next show in 3.5 weeks.. i def was not lean enough at the northern, but i feel like the high carb is really working for me.. i know beverly uses around 20% carbs.. any suggestions.. do they see that sometimes people do better with higher carbs then others.??? thanx a lot

also.. i have been losing about .75 to 1.5 pounds a week with 3000 kcal when i started.. and now i am down to 2700-2800.. i requested a beverly diet and added up the calories including the supplements.. and it was way lower.. this is why i have been skeptical

Doesnt sound like your approach worked that well. It may have been better than starvation, but it still wasnt getting the job done.

All I can really say is give them a try. Years and years of average genetic people, plus some freaks, putting their diets to use and getting good results should be a enough. But, only you can give it a try and be the judge.

Everybody and every "body" is different and if you give every bit of information to Beverly they will do what it takes to get the job done. You should try it for a good 5-6 months before a show to see how it pans out but follow it exact otherwise you won't get a perfect run at it.

Good Luck! I did one show doing everything Beverly said and then I did another show doing it on my own and I actually did better on my own because I had less calories then what they wanted me to have but they still come highly recommended from me to anyone I talk to.

They are great

Sorry, i meant that i was not lean enough for the northern because I was not preparing for the northern.. the mr. bsu show is what i was preparing for, and the northern just seemed to be a good time for experience.. i wasnt expecting or really caring to be "contest" ready quite at that time.. i feel in the next three weeks i will.. i appreciate ur comments.. i am planning on using beverly after this next show to try to put on some lean muscle.. and if i like them ill stick with them Smile
