Calorie Breakdown Question

I read the FAQ's and some of the posts that had to do with EZ diet. I am a bit confused on one thing.

When you are trying to calculate your calories, the FAQ says 10-15 calories per pound of bodyweight. There are some posts that talk about LBM vs overall bodyweight.

That being said... I am 6'2", 260lbs with 28% bodyfat. So would my caloric intake be figured out like this:

260lbs - 28% bodyfat = 188lbs of lean body mass
188lbs LBM * 10 = 1880 calories

If anyone can help shed some light on this part of it. Thanks in advance!

Ok so after more reading!

Ive come to the conclusion that its overall body weight. So that would put me at 2,560 calories (fat loss being the main goal here)

Now then reading the key points for maximum fat loss we see that carbs cannot exceed 75grams per day. Which leaves us with the following breakdown

Protein: 50g*5meals*4cal=1000 calories roughly 39%
Carbs: 75g*4cal=300 calories roughly 12%
Fats: 1260 calories roughly 50%???

Ok missed something here that doesnt look right...

As far as the macronutrients go beverly normaly recomends a 50/20/30 breakdown for fat loss. 50 percent protein, 20 percent carbohydrates and 30 percent fat. Most diets on here just use body weight to determine calories. I would check out the Beverly Nutritional Programs FAQ posted here in the diet section.

Total Calories 2560
50/20/30%
Protein Total Calories 1280
(4 cal=1 gram) 320grams/day
Carbs Total calories 512
(4 cal=1 gram) 128grams/day
Fat Total Calories 768
(9 cal=1 gram) 85grams/day
You may want to consider a 6th meal due to the amount of protein per meal is 64 grams, and your body may not utilize that much at once.
