Does anyone, besides me, wake up in the middle of the night starving? Any suggestions on what to have if anything? Would appreciate any advice because I can't sleep when I am hungry.

I like either UMP with a T. of natural peanut butter or 1C. LF cottage cheese with about an ounce of cashews before bed. This seems to keep me fed through the night. Some like to take in a protein shake in the middle of the night, but I have found it hard to go back to sleep if I do.

Thanks Mark!
I usually have UMP before bed, unless it's carb up night. I'm 4 weeks from a competition so I'm kind of leary of the PB, maybe I'll try an MP shake when it happens again. Any other suggestions???

Thanks for the suggestions, Jello and Ultra 40 hmmm, gross but I'll try it. Still fighting with my BF, it seems to be moving around instead of leaving!

I know this advice isn't what you want to hear, but I've gotta give it anyway...

If you are four weeks out and you are hungry at night, it probably means you are burning fat for energy. Taking a UMP shake before bed is going to assure that you get a time released supply of aminos, so your muscles should be protected. The hunger part, although painful, is probably a good thing.

I know...it stinks! I hate that feeling too, but if you can bear it, I really recommend sticking it out and watching your bodyfat levels drop further. Try adding 3 ZMA before bed to help increase healthy hormone levels for repair and recovery, but also to help keep you in a good, restful sleep.

If you have already lost all the fat you have to lose and are way ahead of the game, have a scoop of UMP when you wake up. MP is great, but won't stick with you as long.
