Anyone else have trouble eating oatmeal day in and day out? Are there any other alternatives I can use? I can eat a ton of egg whites and they dont bother me but oatmeal really is hard for me to eat the full amount.
For some reason I like my oatmeal cold better. I cook the oats the previous night with stevia and cinnamon and put it in the fridge. Also great with blueberries or strawberries cooked in it if your diet allows. Give it a try.
try mixing the egg whites with the oatmeal, some splenda and cinnamon and cook it like a pancake. You can vary the spices..try nutmeg, pumpkin spice, add fruit, etc.

nope I cant get enough, I eat it 2-3 x per day, and love the stuff. Though at times Ill throw in my egg whites and yolks and make one big giant "pancake" then add sugar free syrup. This is tasty and quick to make.

Absolutely a HUGE fan of Quinoa!! Fantastic grain. Because of quinoa, brown rice doesn't even exist to me anymore. The only time I eat brown rice now, is in the form of rice cakes every now and again. Quinoa is definetly ACES over rice anytime, anywhere, anyplace... But there is NO sub for Oatmeal! Like J said, 2-3 times a day! There is really none better. And its SOOO convenient.

I love my oatmeal too. Could eat it for every meal and never tire of it. I tried Jason's pancake recipe a couple of days ago and it was yummy too. I use Walden's Sugar Free Syrup, has no carbs, calories, sugars, just a bit of sodium which is no big deal. Be careful of those sugar free syrups on the grocery store shelf as the calories can add up quickly (30 per serving). But the norm and my preference is to make it more like a "soup" with lots of water, stevia, cinnamon, and I cut up the boiled egg whites into the bowl and voila. Love it but it looks kinda weird and comments have been made by those that have seen me do it. We do what we gotta in order to feel full and enjoy the limited foods that we can partake in.
