Here is an example from a food label, which Im having a difficult time interpreting:
Total Carbs = 7g Dietary Fiber = 3g Sugars = 2g So, in this example, if im trying to figure out how many carbs it has, does it have 7 grams (total carbs) or does it have 4 grams (total carbs minus dietary fiber)? I think im confused due to the low carb diets i've done in the past (for example, the south beach diet), which says you dont have to "count" the dietary fiber. Therefore, the Net Carbs would be 4 grams (7-3), and that is what you would count towards your daily carb intake. Thank you!! |

I count seven as you are still getting the calories from 7 grams of carbs......I guess it depends on your program.....like you said south beach subtracts for fiber..
