My precontest diet consists of 1885 cal, about 290grams pro,70-80g fat, 25g carbs. Monday and Thurs sub meal 5 for the beverly carb up meal. My question is, Can I sub some healthy fats(PB, almonds, olive or flax oil) in place of some of the protein? All those chicken breasts are getting hard to swallow...If the eating more protein is gonna be better for burning more fat I will continue with that.....Thk

You seem to be getting enough healthy fats.

Are you incorporating any shake meals?

How many ounces of chicken are you eating?

For 1 or 2 of your daily meals, try substituting 2 scoops of Ultra Size or UMP.

Are you currently dieting for a show? If so, I would use 2 scoops Muscle Provider and 1 tbls heavy cream. At 5 weeks out I'd drop the cream.

If you don't want to use shakes then you gotta stay with the chicken. Pre-contest dieting , or when getting ready for a photoshoot, as you are, is never going to be easy. Currently, I have no show in sight, but I'm still eating 28oz of chicken a day along with shakes.

I wouldn't recommend egg whites as a substitute because of their sodium content, although you may get away with 4-5 additional egg whites for every 3oz of chicken. You'd have to keep close tabs on your conditioning though.
