If you are female, thats really low to maintain all year. So I wouldnt advise going any lower. If male, I think Id more interested in adding some size than going lower than 8%. For someone not competing 8% is perfect on a male, can see separation, looks great at the beach and its maintainable, much lower and you wont be able to maintain it. You could get there for sure, but its unrealistic to try to maintain it lower. I enjoy trainnig, training heavy and intense and much lower than 8% training starts to suffer a bit, unless you are genetically predisposed to be lower than 8% which very very few are.

If you want to maintain 8%, your weight gain should be about 2 to 3 lbs in 6 months. That will be a realistic, gradual gain that will stay on you, full, solid muscle. Any more, expect a fat gain.
