scale is not budging

I'm planning to do my 1st bodybuilding competition in April/May. Since Jan. 1st, I started dropping calories and increasing cardio.

Stats: 46 female, 5'5" 120# 16% bodyfat. Supps. include muscle provider, glutamine, creatine, MAP (master amino), cod liver oil.

Not to go into my whole life story - but I come from an endurance background (did Ironman triathlon in 2009) and got myself into a hole with severe overtraining and undereating. Now I fear my body is starting to freak out again and hold onto everything.

In addition to usual weightlifting program, I've added 30 min. of fasted wt'd jumprope intervals (:50/:10) 3 days mornings per week. On other days, it's either 15:00 HIIT treadmill intervals or 60 min. incline treadmill walks. I've cut 200 cal/day from diet - weigh and track everything. I've eaten obsessively clean for years so there's not a whole lot of room for improvement. I'm starting the BI female contest prep diet today and will follow it to a "t" although diet has been pretty similar up until now.

I'm not freaking yet, but the scale is just not budging although I must admit, I feel tighter. What else can I do?

Hey E. Junkie,

Just in general I would say give it time, don't Freak Out, trust in the diet, and the Beverly systems. Alot of times for me, I know the scale will not move that much, but their is an eaqual transformation of quality in my body composition, if that makes sense. The one supplement I notice your not incorporating is any Lean Out, or 7 Keto, or both. You might want to consider that. Best of luck, keep me posted, I would love to help.
