I just got this new diet from Bev. and I started it on Aug 18th- the problem is it seems to have really slowed down my metabolism. I had a cheat meal over the weekend and that seemed to get it going again. Won't thie slowing down of my metabolism hinder my weight loss? I thought that was something you didn't ever want to do. Any advice?

Is this a diet you pulled from the web site? Or is this one that the Bev consultants prepared for you?

Jeremiah has taken me from 270 down to competing as a LHW (202 right now). I would follow his plan to the letter, you can't judge it after one week. I would try not to cheat either, if you really want to evaluate the diet. What would you have weighed today had you not cheated? Get some sugar free jello to have when you feel the need to cheat.

Granted, I don't know your goals, timeline, experience, etc... but, after several weeks check in with Jeremiah and tell him what's going on. He will be able to help you better knowing exactly what you are eating. IMHO, it will be more difficult for him to help you target the problem if you are cheating Big Grin. (trust me, I know it sucks)

Those are a couple of my thoughts....

Cool. I have been training for a long time (played a little football in college) and have been a fan of bodybuilding for a while also. I only recently decided to compete. Other than June, I have been dieting all year (I had so much fat to drop). I am feeling pretty thrashed mentally and physically - only 5 and 1/2 more weeks.

Later.
