This morning I tried the US pancakes, ok, I admit I am not the best cook, so no surprise to me when they turned out like hockey pucks, and I think if I ate a hockey puck, it wouldve tasted about the same. After eating 1 1/2 out of 5 of them that was made, as tough as I like to think I am, I had to throw them & just get me a Muscle Provider shake. The bad news is 2 scoops of US wasted, but the good news is in the last 2 weeks I haven't had any desire for any food outside of my Bev diet, in fact, the challenge for me is making sure I get in all 5 meals. These hockey puck pancakes were: 2 scoops Ultra Size, 1 whole egg, 3 egg whites, 1/2 cup oatmeal. I'm wondering if adding alittle water until the 'batter' is similar to regular pancake batter would help, or if there is a recipe for this that I should be following that is different than the one that was included in my profile. Any Bev chefs out there have suggestions? I was feeling alittle adventurous this morning to deviate from my straight eggs & meat, but after the hockey pucks, until I get some help, I'm going back to lie by my dish...

Sorry, I guess I should have posted this under recipes, and I am checking out that area on the site. My bev diet meal #1 calls for 1/2 cup oatmeal, 1 whole egg, 3 egg whites, 3 oz lean meat for that first meal, so I am trying to make these pancakes staying within these particulars, so altho there are some recipes I see on the site, so far they seem to include cream or more eggs etc that would deviate from my prescribed list of amount of proteins. So I guess I am just looking for suggestions on how to make these not be hockey pucks, and rather than go thru supps experimenting, does anyone have suggestions? I wonder if adding water, it would just evaporate in cooking and not really help the end result?

Give these a try, It might sound gross but they taste awesome to me!! I call them sweet beef cakes:
1 egg
3 egg whites
3 oz leat beef(or whatever your diet calls for)
1/2 cup oatmeal
2-3 packs of Splenda
4 dashes of Cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla extract, I aslo like to add coconut extract but not necessary.

Mix all ingredients into a bowl then pour on a skillet or into a pan and cook like pancakes. then top with cinnamon and also if not contest dieting add some sugar free syrup.

Pam:
Try the recipe I posted called sweet bread or muffins. It is in the recipe section. Where in MN are you?

Those beef cakes don't sound bad, will give them a try, maybe the way I tried with the 2 scoops Ultra Size made them too dry. Thanks FattyAcid! Smile

If you add some water to get a batter more similar to pancake batter you should be okay. Did you use vanilla or chocolate US? The chocolate pancakes always come out a little tougher, even with water added.
