I was wondering what you all think of sugar free syrups. The one i'm looking at is low calorie/sugar free but has 11g of sugar alchohol in it. Does anyone know what this is and is it ok to use on my precontest diet?

I stay away from the syrups with sugar alcohols.

I equate using sugar free syrup with diet pop. Same ingredients and made with Splenda.

www.davincigourmet.com makes a sugar free pancake syrup with NO SUGAR ALCOHOLS as well as a host of other flavors that are good to flavor shakes or make salad dressings with.

Another brand that I can buy local is Torani Sugar Free Syrups.

Again stay away from the ones with sugar alcohols -- they still have calories.

I have been using the atkins syrup(1 carb), Walmart sells it cheap. I stay away from sugar alcohols.

I use Vermont Sugar Free low cal made with splenda. 1/4 cup is 10 cals, 3g sorbitol. I only use a squirt here/there and certainly not 1/4 cup.

I use Maple Grove Farms Cozy Cottage Sugar Free low cal syrup. It is an unbelievable 10 calories in 1/4 c. It tastes great on my US waffles and in morning oatmeal.
