I use to have that problem, but I pretty much forced myself to eat. My body eventually adjusted so that now I can't go without it. I knew by skipping breakfast you would never get your metabolism going. Much better results once I started. Try eating something small like a bowl of oatmeal or a few egg whites until your body adjusts.

Jared,

Thanks for the reply. i have never had a problem with this and thats why I am concerned. I do force the food down. I eat 1/2 cup oatmean, 4 oz beef or turkey and 6 egg whites. I just want the desire I used to. :-)
Maybe its mental. I have alot going on personally so that might be it.

Im going to do the Northern Show again in March but need to get my eating in gear for the addition of some weight. LOL

Make sure you are not doing late night eating. Going to bed on a full stomach, you'll not be hungry when you awake.

There were times as a teenager, I wouldn't have anything to eat until noon. By the late teens, I couldn't go a 1/2 hour without breakfast.

Mid 20's the same occurred. No breakfast. I didn't have a first meal until 4 or 5 hours later. I always ate late due to the shift I was working.

Set your metabolism for the day with a higher protein and carb meal. Egg McMuffin isn't the way. Big Grin

Got ya! well regardless if your adding weight or trying to lean out a little, DON'T skip the breakfast. Good luck man. I'm in contest prep now for a Sept show and I wake up thinking about breakfast during the night lol .

Change it up. The same thing day-in day-out just won't work.

Use oat/spelt flour to make a wrap for the beef. Cottage cheese and strawberries and oatmeal...good change up.

Fruit/oats/ground turkey

Have "dinner" for breakfast.

I believe the poster was stating not to have breakfast or skip the meal and use Mass Aminos/Ultra 40. I was waiting for ChuckButt's response.

Not a good idea. That is the entire meaning of breakfast. Breaking the fast from the night or sleep.

You set your metabolism for the day be eating breakfast. What you eat counts a lot for what is expected. Junk...well, look around you.

If you're preparing for a long, hard working, physical exertion day or a 150 mile bike ride, ultra high carb is the way to go. When you do this, every time you do it, the body responds with its readiness.

At the same time, every few weeks, a blast of carbs for breakfast if you're not contest diet.

Gothca! Big Grin Not a chance of me missing breakfast. I was just stating that I just dont feel like eating even though I am hungry. Probably just tired of the same ol stuff or head games. Changing it up a little should help me out.

Thanks!!

Jeff, do NOT do that! I thought Serpico was supposed to be a good cop? LOL! Jeff, your breakfast is "the most important meal of the day", cliche I know, but it is tru! Like Frank said, a healthy blast of Slow burn Carbs (oatmeal) and a moderate infusion of protein is exactly what you need when you wake. Nothing else will stoke that fire!

Sorry for the delay on that correction, but like everyone else is telling you, basically you gotta force feed until your "hunger" comes back and believe me, it WILL!

chunky you must lead a charmed life my friend. we are not always going to have the time nor the inclination due to what ever reason sometimes things don't go as planned so we must improvise and adapt in order to keep things running. So yes a hand full of aminos and liver are by far better than nothing.

Charmed life? I do try! I've always found that no matter what, you can MAKE the necessary time to do what you need if that is a priority. Wether it is waking up 15 mins early, or premaking your meals before the time of consumption.. if you really want it, it can be done! AMEN!

Hey there Jeff.

When I don't feel like eating food for breakfast I mix a couple of scoops of UMP Vanilla with about 12 oz water and 4 oz coffee and drink that. I may even add a 1/2 cup oats. Sometimes I do a couple of scoops UMP and a tbs cashew butter (maybe some oats).

If I'm absolutely not going to eat for some reason, I take a hand full of Density to be sure I'm not losing muscle tissue and still have the amino support I need.
