bad news for all you peanut fans.... peanuts contain dietary lectin which binds to glycoproteins( proteins with glucose attached) on arterial smooth muscle cells. which can lead to atherosclerosis. i dont like the sound of that. No wonder i like almond butter better. -james lavalle (cracking the metabolic code)
