I just recently began following the diet below. Frank wrote this up for me after I had posted a discussion about my prior diet which was a 50/20/30 split. Since being on this diet, I have noticed that I am drinking more water than normal and I usually drink a gallon a day! Any thoughts????

#1: 6 eggs whites, 1/2 grapefruit
1/2 c oatmeal 1 TBS Flaxseed oil.

#2: 1 1/2 scoops muscle provider
an apple only(must) 1/2 cup oats

#3: 4 ounces chicken
3/4 c brown rice, 1 cup green veggies

#4: 3 oz white fish, 1 cup white potato

#5: 4 ounces lean beef (96%), 1 c veggies 1/2 cup rice

#6: 1/2 scoop MP 1/2 scoop UMP Fruit 6 strawberries.

This will end sooner or later. You aren't used to a regular infusion of "quality" carbs. The carbs are replenishing your muscular glycogen reserves very quickly. Glycogen NEEDS water for anabolism or breakdown to take place. Overall, this is gonna increase your water intake and excretion. Muscular glycogen tries to hold on to this water so as to keep somewhat of an anabolic environment. This is the reason why you will look "FULLER" than if you were on a 50/20/30 type diet which is a glycogen murderer....

simple, 1 gram carbs needs 2.7 grams water to hold it in the muscle cell, so yeah you need more water.

Very useful info, I use this to set up peak weeks. in beginning water is high, carbs low, then you start to reverse it, water low and carbs high, when high carbs ingested body will pull water from somewhere, it wont touch the blood or organs, so it starts to pull sub q if you are taking in more carbs than enough water to hold them (which is why you start to decrease water intake). Sorry for rambling.

K...I was getting worried!!! I've been drinking water like I never have AND in bathroom more than usual. I'm LOVING the higher carbs though...my energy levels are thru the roof! My workouts are super intense and I was starting to drag my bum through them. I am so so so thrilled to have come across the B.I forum!!!! You guys are all so helpful and incredible knowledgeable!!

Believe me, Jason's protocol works better than can be imagined. At my last show, he brought me in fuller, harder, drier, and more vascular than ever. I was a skeptic, but now I am a believer. I am at this moment loading for this weekend with his plan, and the difference from this morning until tonight is amazing. Even my wife is looking at me funny......

I'm not Jason, but the "sub q" he refers to is subcutaneous water or the water under your skin that blurs definition. With his protocol you will take that water from under the skin and put it in the muscles for a full and hard look with maximal definition.

thats right, drying out is really a process of loading carbs and controlling water, once you understand that, its pretty easy.
