I was eating a mostly vegan diet, but I did eat occassional meat. For this bodybuilding prep, I am, like the rest of you, now consuming large quantities of beef and chicken. It is interesting to me because when I actually eat the meals, they taste fine to me, but I always feel an aversion right before it is time to eat (with the exception of my shakes).

Now, this might be just a mental thing since I haven't consumed large quantities of meat on a regular basis in a few years, but I wanted to know if anyone else had similar experiences and if you found any tricks to make the notion more palatable.

I have nothing against meat, I am eating all my meals, etc, but sometimes my body just feels like it is saying NO MORE PROTEIN. I know I need it for this competition, and maybe part of building muscle is just building a discipline to get those large meals down the tubes, but any thoughts or experiences would be greatly helpful!

Thanks again!

Jeremy

Sorry bro' I love meat...always have...Im always starving by the time my next meal comes about so I devour my beef, tuna or chicken in literally 4-5 minutes if not less.

I hope you adjust as you have a long road ahead of you...10 mos before contest diet begins...long time...I think your best bet is to find a spice or sauce you like. This far out I use ketchup and mustard on beef and A1 on chicken...and mustard in tuna...if you really cant get it down...since you have a decent amount of time...you could use rinsed cottage cheese and a scoop of MP in place...but id clear that with Jeremiah as for portion substitution...other than that I think it might be much like coffee and beer...the first time you try them you are an anamoly if you think they taste good, but i love both...Course my girlfriend will eat eggs and lactose products but not meat and when she tried she gagged and just couldnt do it...so sounds like you are better off than she was. good luck,

JT--
