Hello all, I'm new here and have a question. What would the advantages or disadantages be to using heavy cream vs flax oil for daily fat intake? Also at what times would someone want to choose one over the other. Thanks everyone, I look forward to being a new member here.

Traps,
During a gaining cycle, I'll use heavy cream in my Ultra Size shakes. The saturated fat seems to amplify the anabolic effects of the ingrdients. During a hardenning, or pre-contest phase, I switch over to flax, olive oil and, more recently Beverly's EFA Gold, which I am really getting to like. My most effective method with the heavy cream is when I mix it with Muscle Provider as a meal replacement when I am attempting to burn bodyfat. I'll do this only when my overall carb intake has been reduced, but will stop at about 5 weeks away from a show and go strictly with flax, olive oil, and EFA Gold, using fats rather than carbs, as my preffered source of energy.

Thanks Aram, Do you think it would be good for me to use heavy cream for gaining phase and then switch to flax oil for my hardenng phase "not pre-contest,just hardening".

I once told Alex on a similar post that the blend had the effect of mother's milk to infants. GROWTH. It was on an old Ultra Size topic. I haven't been able to find it. I believe it was Dr. Serrano that wrote it.

Traps, I would do just that. Whipping cream on gains, flax on hardening. In fact, there would be no harm once in a few to add the flax with the cream. I would say to use at least 2 to 3 TBS of cream.

Agree with the cream during gaining and flax during hardening. The Omega 3's in fat do much for the metabolism.

The cream is anabolic. Rheo Blair, Vince Gironda, and others back in the 60s used to make shakes modeled after mothers milk. They used to mix cream or half and half with protein powder.

What could be more anabolic that mothers milk?

that is exactly what Ultra Size does. It uses (4) super high amino, proprietary proteins, comprised of only the most pristine select Milk Protein Isolates (highest
quality casein and whey protein isolates). By binding these super-aminos synergistically with triple A whey protein concentrates, Ultra Size gives you the same powerful anabolic nutrients of mother’s milk. Then we went one step further by adding...
