Hi everyone,

I've been following the Beverly Diet the last 2 weeks and getting great results! The weight's been falling off. I'm down about 10 lbs in my first week alone! I know most of this is water and waste, but nonetheless, that stuff has to go too, right?

In any case, I was wondering if Beverly had an opinion on these Atkins' Foods (in particular, the low-carb candy bars)? It claims to have no effect on blood sugar. But is this true?

My approach to this point has been "if it's not on the beverly plan, then it's not going in my mouth!". So, I'd like to know what you guys think of these.

Congratulations on your progress so far, you are right...ten pounds is ten pounds !!

I would stick with your current approach , " if its not on the beverly plan, then it's not going in my mouth". Your seeing great progress.... Why take a chance on slowing it?

Sugar Alcohols can and will be converted to glucose.

Glucose can and will impact insulin.

Elevated insulin levels prevent fat loss.

The less of these type of foods you have the better.

There are no free rides.
