Im a college student that follows the low carb beverly diet. Spring break is approaching and I will be going to panama city beach, florida. Last year when I went I had real bad problems with bloating, gas, water retention. Im assuming it was due to my eating habits and the drinking. Im trying to avoid these symptons again, without giving up letting loose for the week. Does anyone have any suggestions?? maybe ease more carbs into my diet before I go? or maybe certain supplements or herbs?? thanks alot

My suggestion is unless you are getting ready for the stage you should not be on that low of a carb diet that this happens to your body.
Believe me, Ive been there as far as college, spring break, lifting, dieting the whole thing, and Ive never experienced this. Now if I went from a full blown contest diet to that behavior that might have caused problems. I would do a moderate carb diet. Besides 9-10% looks great at the beach, no need to be lower than that unless you maintain that naturally. I recommend taking bevs multiple enzyme with you and taking those like candy. they seem to alleviate most of the symptoms you speak of for me anyways....have fun... |
