Whats up everyone??? While the post that Guns has posted is very long and does have some childish rants, it is also very very interesting to read all of the actual medical papers that some of the members of the board have posted. I was really suprised when I posted my last topic of "out of mass maker" and Mark Ritter replied to me that I could take in "8 oz. oatmeal, 6 oz. sweet potato" to take the place of the three scoops of Mass Maker my partner and I normally take in along with my normal two scoops of MP. OR I could even have around 14 egg whites with the 8oz oatmeal and 6oz sweet potato to eleminate all powders post workout. I found it to be very interesting to hear that even if my budget tightens more I can still have a quality post workout meal and make due.

I have to thank Mark Ritter as he has to be the most patient guy ALIVE ! I have been struggling for months now to get back in the groove of being strict on my diet and really working towards a goal. Now with Mark's help I am well on my way back. As Frank and ETX have advised me, I am going to stick with powerlifting for a few more years and build that totally sick, thick frame before I look to compete. Then down the road the stage might call me but right now the platform is my stage !!

you can also have
6 oz red potatoe or 6 oz white potatoes, 2 oz pasta
1 cup oatmeal or 1 cup cooked brown rice plus 1 cup of veggies as well

depends on what your goals are potatoes cooked only have 76 on GI index, boiled they are 100 so cooking reduces gi index actually

do low gi carbs stimulate insulin secretion to the same degree of hi gi carbs?? Im assuming not..Also i have heard of something called the Insulin Index as opposed to the glycemic index...It is very obvious that the folks at beverly are dead set against rising insulin levels in the face of a lean out diet..they dont even sell a straight whey product!! But,, obviously their strategy works because look at all the athletes they have helped...and if something aint broke then why fix it..BUt.....i am curious to know how drastic the results would be if they had their athletes take advantage of insulin to suppress cortisol levels..maybe retain more muscle or maybe less?? I dont know..but I do know that Roger and Sandy know 10000 times more than Ill ever know, so Im hoping they can respond to this question....Great Thread!!!!
