Lately, my work schedule has been awful and I lose a good deal of sleep in order to make it to the gym-like 2 or 3 hours a day, 3 or 4 days a week. I can usually hit 5 days out of 7, but they're always different days and at different times. Thank goodness for 24 hour Fitness.
So, which is more important: the sleep time or the workout? I feel this is part of the reason I can't drop weight. Ever since moving from FL in 2003, it's been a constant struggle to maintain a weight under 210...used to be 170-175 after a contest prep diet.
BTW...EVERY blood test in searching for answers has come back normal.

Everyone is different in their sleep requirements. I have friends who need at least 8 hours, whereas, I sleep 5 hours a night and feel great. I go to bed at 10:00PM, get up at 3:AM, and get in the gym at 4:00AM. I have never had a problem with fatigue and/or recovery. Try different schedules and see what works for you and if your body responds. Their is data/studies that show both too much or too little sleep can affect fat storage, eating habits, and LBM. Find what works for YOU and your body.
