is rye bread a good bread? want to add a little more variety to my turkey sandwiches. ww or 7 grain is the norm.

are almonds the only acceptable nut for fat? how about mixed nuts unsalted? how about the wasabi peanuts that i saw?

and to overcome my biggest obstacle, my love for chocolate, how about a TBSP of dark chips with the nuts?

got through the workout though it was tough and stuck to the diet. first sunday w/o pancakes w my boys.

TIA

actually for your goals I think we typed out a diet. You need to deep six the bread and deli meats.

Lunch: 8 oz chicken breast + 6 0z yam + 2 cups veggies.

I would not be doing ANY bread at this point.

ALmonds are the best fat source in from nuts IMHO, but peanuts wont hurt. Dont know about the others you mention.

As for pancakes, get the recipe for Ultra Size pancakes, then use sugar free syrup. Then just make your boys the normal way.

Take care

Oh yeah, chocolate, no dont eat chocolate chips, pure sugar.

Look into Walden Farms sugar free calorie free chocolate syrup, its pretty good. I put it on Ultra Size pudding.

Thanks man...did not realize that turkey sandwich was out of the loop.

Have to ask why? Thought that turkey was like staple.

Thanks again for all the advice.

Are we talking cold cuts or 99% fat free ground turkey?

I dont like the preservatives in deli meat and i was always taught not to diet to lose bodyfat on it.

And again, wheat bread is not bad, but there are better choices if you are trying to lose bodyfat. You can give it a go, and when progress stalls switch.

My current lunch exactly is as follows, I actually eat this meal three times per day right now.

6 oz turkey burger
1/2 cup oats
3 egg whites
1/2 tbs of cod liver oil.

dude, thats the breakfast patty you had me make! you have 3 of those per day?!?! Man you are disciplined!

The turkey was from a whole turkey but i do or should I say USED to have turkey sandwich with turkey lunch meat. Thought Boars head was all natural? Oh well....sacrifice seems to be the key to success just like in anything.

Thanks again Jason.

video--cook all three the night before, then just refridgerate. Then I take two with me to work along with one shake, just heat it up, plaster with mustard, easy, perfect meal.

Again, lunch meat wont kill you and I know nothing about Boars head, but I would opt for fresh ground turkey and oats. Just better choices than deli and bread.

After reading labels, I just don't trust the grain breads. Several producers (bakery) still had wheat as the first ingredient. Perhaps it is no longer true about the order of ingedients, first listed being the most.

I have begun to make my own breads using spelt and oatflour.
