This may have been asked and answered a thousand times already, but here's my question:
I'm currently off-season, and
I don't think I'll be competing for at least another year or two. However, I want to stay in the best shape possible until
that time. Is it a bad idea to stick with the fat-loss diet (2 carb-ups a day) until I start pre-contest? Will my body adjust
to the diet and make contest dieting that much harder?? Any thoughts are appreciated
Most certainly, staying with the fat loss diet is not a good idea. It is such a low-carb diet that your training will not
be as intense. However, the lean mass gain diets will help you to add or maintain muscle while keeping your bodyfat the same
or even reducing it slightly! Look around the website or contact Beverly for examples of such diets. They usually contain
2-4 meals daily with carbs plus some Ultra Size shake meals.
Tonka...I agree with the Candy Man. It will be difficult to maintain an intense off season training routine with the fat
loss diet. Really, that's not what it was meant to do. You can take in some good carbs and still stay in great shape.
Work
with the Bev consultants and let them help craft a good diet for you. If you find yourself slipping, it wouldn't hurt to
cycle on the fat loss diet for a few weeks.
