Low Carb - High Carb - WHAT?

I have made the decision to resculpt my body but with all the advice i'm getting, eating right has become more of a challenge than the actual physical aspect of weight training. I want to lose fat and gain muscle and in one instance I was told to increase my carbs, then in another instance told to decrease them. What do I do? Also, I lack energy so what will assist with that?

Lack of energy could mean anything....poor sleep, poor diet, stress, too many stimulants, or a combination of everything, or something else. Most often it's the current lifestyle compounded by a poor nutritional plan. What are your present stats? Age, nutrition, weight, height, activity and stress levels, weight training, supplements,etc. The more info you provide, the better we can advise you.
