Gut Bloat???

I just recently switched to the 'fat burn' diet w/twice weekly carb ups.. and I am experiencing gut bloat. Has anyone else had this experience with low-no carbs, and the high protein?? This diet never used to bother me.. but for some reason the last two times I've went off all starchy carbs except twice weekly - I get bloated and miserable. Any advise.. or reasoning to why this occurs?? I upped my water intake significantly - so I'm taking in enough H20. Thanks.

Sean Young mentioned adding in sugar free metamucil for more fiber. He was having problems as well. Dont know about the calorie count of it though.

When you are carbing up, are you using carbs your body is used too, or are you intoducing "new" carbs that you haven't had in quite sometime?

Some people find, when using carbs the body is not used to, that they get bloated.

Thanks for the input and reply. I am carbing up on foods that I am accustom to - banana, oatmeal and yam. I feel the lack of fiber and high protein intake was causing the bloat! I seem to be adjusting now and added the SF Metamucil as Jason suggested.. thanks all!

Sugar free metamucil worked for me. I had to go through the extremes (which I don't care to mention!) when I was 6 weeks out before I realized it was a matter of fiber for me. I felt like **** and would wake up in the middle of the night and drink hot water to make the pains go away. But, when I started adding more fiber it seemed to do the trick. Jeremiah just had me stop taking it when I was about 2 weeks out and I was fine.
