Ok I need a way to add more fiber into my diet, soluble fiber in particular, with out adding more calories. Everytime I do lower carbs I get slugggish bowls. I have Inflammatory Bowl Disease so it is important that things keep moving through. I eat plenty of greeen veggies (about 3 to 4 cups a day) and then usually 1/2 cup of oatmeal and then maybe 4 oz of sweet pot. But this doesn't seem to be enough. Has anyone every used Benefiber? Or are there any other supplements you might suggest.

You know what I think I found my answer. I did a search for fiber on here. Sorry I didn't do the search first!

Megyn,

Post what you've found. We'd like to see if what is working for you would be better for us.

I love the Fiber Choice Weight Management in Sugar Free Strawberry. The tablets are chewables and have Chromax and Green Tea in them, 15 calories for 2 tablets. They work for me with lots of water. Also another thing that I love is the Sliming Tea, drink it in the evening and you will go by morning most likely. I have an issue with this as well when I go on a low carb/high protein diet. Stevia sweetner has natural fiber in it too and zero calories that you could add to your diet.
BTW...for bloat or gas from extra fiber or the extra protein try Ginger Root. I take 550 mg with all my protein meals. I love it! It also helps with digestion, diarrea and nausea and is an anti-inflammatory. Cheap too, I paid under 5.00 for a bottle of 100. You could make a tea out of fresh ginger and that would work as well.

Hope this helps!
