Hi, I'm 5'10, 165lb male. I'm right now following the Bevely Diet for losing fat and gaining muscle diet, and having great results with it. I just have one question though. When the nutrition plan say eat vegetables, can I just eat a tomato and some onion sauteed in a TBSP of EVOO? For example, for dinner the plan dictates, 2-3 servings vegetables 1 serving fat (dressing) Then, can I just chop a tomato and some onion, and sautee them in a TBSP of EVOO? I'm asking this because I love cooked tomato and onion, but as far as I know tomato and onion have significant amount of carbs (I couldn't eat them when I was on keto) and they have pretty high calories compared to other veggies in your master pfood list. Thank you.

Tumba, Tomatoes and onions are both included on the Master Foods List in the Nutrition, Training and Supplement Solutions of www.BeverlyInternational.com. I would try to include green vegetables as often as possible. Even a medley of mixed veggies including your favorite, tomato and onions, would work. A large tomato has less than 6 grams of carbs and 1 cup of chopped onion has about 15. This is similar to the same amount of broccoli(12g). CR
