Quick question - am I counting total carbs or net carbs when I calculate my 50/20/30 diet? Thanks!

Total carbs with a caveat - you can generally get by with a slightly higher percentage of carbs if you taking in 10-15 g of fiber. If you are talking sugar alcohol - count total carbs and stay around the 20% mark.
