I am training for a figure show coming up in October and this will be the first time I use Beverly in its entirety. If I start out with the diet without the 2 carb load nights, am I able to incorporate 1 "cheat" meal a week. I normally have pizza 1 day a week up until 4 weeks out, then no cheats after that. This gets me rather lean, but still not that Bev Int crisp look.
You could have cheats up to about 12 weeks out, then Id do cleaner foods if you are choosing to do the refeed type diet. There really is no reason to be eating pizza. occassionally Ill have people I work with eat a cheeseburger and fry if they are dropping weight to fast. But, its timed and not every week. In my opinion if you can get by with eating junk every week you arent eating enough good calories during the week, just my opinion.
When I diet I diet to win, and I dont think a cheat every week is good practice as you will get in that habit.
That said, if the show is in October by all means have cheats now, but at 12 weeks or even 16 weeks depending on bodyfat levels you need to cut those out.
