I'm currently 218 lbs (6'2") at about 14% bodyfat and am starting the precontest diet as found on the Beverly website. Does this precontest diet have enough calories to support my current muscle mass? Thanks.

What are the macro's and calories for this diet? And if you're doing a show, how many weeks out are you?

Hi Aram, I'm not exactly sure if the macro content, but I'd say it's at least a 50/20/30 pro/carb/fat.

As for a contest as of now I don't have one in mind but I'm going to train and diet as if I were doing a show. I plan on at least 16 weeks to get lean.

Most of the Beverly diets seem to be for the 200 lb male, so I wasn't sure if I needed to add a few more calories. Let me know what you think. Thanks.

I need to know your calories and macronutrient intake, otherwise this is not much info to go on. But if you are 14% bodyfat, I really don't know if 16 weeks would be enough time.

Aram,

I'm following the precontest diet found on the website: http://www.beverlyinternationa...eprecontestmale.html

Not sure of the exact calories as I'm just starting the diet. I just want to make sure for someone of my size that the calories and everything are not too low.

As for the 16 weeks that is just my commitment to the diet as I'm not officially preparing for a show. So, I can extend it as long as needed to get in top shape. Thanks for your input, I know you are an experienced veteran, so I appreciate your opinions.

My opinion is that even though this is an effective diet/supp plan, I would save it until the latter stages of dieting, then make adjustments with your portion sizes according to your weight and body fat.
