Technically I guess it can. If I were getting ready for a show I wouldnt use it. This has been discussed on the old board, and the problem with it is its not really "no fat." I think they said over five sprays adds fat and the whole bottle has 90 grams I think was the number. There was a number that consumers could call to get the skinny on it. Personally, if Im not getting ready for a show and begin a fat loss plan things like condiments would be used. When fat loss stalled that would then be the first to get taken out. Just my opinion.
The spray butter says 0 for 5 sprays. Technically the FDA allows them to say 0 up to about 10 calories, so figure 5 sparys is about 1 gram of fat. In the long run 1 gram of fat will not cause to much of a diet faux pas, but if you cannot stop at the 5 sprays....several times a day...then ditch it. I use it off season but stick to the 5 sparys and include it in my fitday log as 1 gram fat.

I was just wondering about butter substitutes for vegetables and such. I am glad to have come across this. Is there another substitute you guys use on your vegetables? or do you not use any condiments?
