Hi I am new here. So let me get right to it. I am 5'3 130 pounds and would like to lose 10 pounds of fat and lean up. I am not probably ever going to compete i am just a Mom who wants to lose those last 10 pounds. I am on an anti depressant that i am currently backing off from so i have to be careful about some supplements. As far as supplements i am currently taking 1 to 2 protein shakes a day, a multi vit., a fish-flax combo vit. 500mg L-glutamine, calcium, and vit e. I love to exercise and am currently working on my personal training certificate. Nutrition is probably my week point as i am still learning. I try to follow a 5 to 6 meal a day program with protien at every meal but sometimes i get so hungry. I am also not sure of how many calories i should be eating. I try to stay between 1400 - 1600 cals a day for my highth but again i find this all confusing. Sometimes i get so hungry i can't stand it and i end up eating more calories. I do try to focus on getting my protien in but again not sure how much a 5'3 40 year old woman should have a day. I am also a pair shape and carry these 10 pounds in my hips and thighs. So any advice would be wonderful!!! At this point i will try anything. I really want to be a good example for my clients and although i don't look 10 pounds overweight I wont wear shorts to the gym because i am self conscience of how my legs look. I have searched your forums and have written down some great info but i would really like someone to take me under their wing and help. I seem to do better when someone is leading me than me leading myself when it comes to eating - cals- etc. Leading my self is kinda like the blind leading the blind HAHAHAHA! Any help and direction you could give me would be a HUGE BLESSING to me. I am really glad to have found this forum and i expect great things! Thanks bunches Tricia
another question. How do i figure out how much protien/carbs/fat i should have per meal? Is there a formula i should use? and what about calories? for a 5'3 woman what would be good? Or should i just call and talk to someone at beverly? Would they give me a specialized program? Thanks again! Hope to hear from someone. Tricia
