I am 5'10'' 250 lbs. 26 years old, last checked body fat summer of 2008 was 23%. I'm a recovering college football offensive lineman. I need help trying to figure out what is the proper caloric, fat, protein, and carb intake for myself. At the moment I'm hitting 75 g of fat, 175 g of protein, and 375 g of carbs per day (I don't always make it to the carbs). That is approx. 2000 to 2700 calories per day. I'm not taking any supplements at the moment due to financial issues. Will someone please advise if my diet is good and what kind of supp stack I could try in the future?

Goal is to lose fat and stay strong. Last tested lifts were:

Bench 400 #, Squat 550 #, Deadlift 500 # back in May 2009

Reviewing your diet, your caloric intake is 2875 cal/day. 52% from carbs, 24% Protein, & 24% fat. Ideally, to lose fat and keep/gain strength, you want to be at 50% Protein, 20% Carbs, & 30% Fats.
So, with that in mind;
250lbs x 10= 2500 Cal/day
50% Protein= 1250 cal (4 cal=1 gram) 312.5 grams/day
20% Carbs= 500 cal (4 cal=1 gram) 125.0 grams/day
30% Fats= 750 cal (9 cal=1 gram) 83.3 grams/day
Divide that over 5-6 meals a day, and you should be rock n' rollin' in no time! Read thru the FAQ at the top of the forum, alot of great info there. Supplements, without knowing your budget or goals, I would hate to tell you what to get. If you call Beverly, they will steer you in the right direction. Hope your recovery goes well.
