good article over at Shawn bellons board:

http://bellonsbodyworks.freeforums.org/the-sodium-anabolic-connection-t78.html.

I dont know why bodybuilders have become so sodium phobic just check out the article. I add 1/4 tsp of sea salt to all meals, Im harder and drier and meals containing sodium like cheats dont bloat me like they will someone who doesnt practice this. My electrolytes are much more in balance now.

No kidding, Jason. I hear so much about sodium, I feel the same way. The only time you may need to watch it is 1 or 2 days prior to stage time. The rest of the time, sea salt is your best additive. Other sodiums would be something to watch, but nothing of a major concern.

exactly, and under that practice I just stop the 1/4 on Monday, but I can still eat all my other foods with a good bit of sodium in them and htis creates the deficit I need, I then drop eggs on Weds and coast into the show, simply manipulating my carbs (supersaturating) as I lower my water....dry dry dry...

In the offseason Im much more vascular too under this protocol...

Sodium is necessary for life. I NEVER understood why people were so affraid of salt?? The body runs on Sodium-Potassium pumps at a cellular level, so why is everyone so scared? All this **** about hypertension and salt is just a load of BS so that Pharmaceutical companies can administer more product to unknowing patients....Oh, and by the way stay away from salt, it may kill ya... COME ON, GET REAL!!????

Anyways, I totally agree and it is a common pet peeve of mine when I hear people talking negatively about salt....

Oh yeah...they need people to get sick to treat illness. One of the small, hidden facts: Salt assists the immune system or is an important contributor to sound health.

interesting fact Frank, little tidbit, this was the first winer I made it through without any illness whatsoever, not even a sniffle. I attributed to spot on nutrition and glutamine, but I should also now consider the addition of the sea salt to all my meals.

It has like 23 some other minerals that the body needs, whereas, table salt does not.

Anyways....interesting, thanks Frank.
