When on a precontest diet what are your thoughts on veggie intake? Are you **** and measure out every morsel or do you allow yourself more than say 1c.? Do you measure lettuce and cucumbers (they are on the free food list). How do you measure 1c. of romaine lettuce or shredded cabbage. Would eating too many green leafy veggies really affect your results? Thoughts? Lastly what about the free food list -- were talking when precontest only. Thanks in advance for all feedback!
I personally don't measure my veggies, esp. not salads/lettuce. Most of the time I have about 2 cups, so an extra 1/2 won't make a difference. On broccoli and other veggies I pretty much know by now after all those diets how much I get when I cut them up for an omelett, so I don't have to weigh anything there either. With complex carbs it's different, I watch out how much I get there, but on veggies it won't kill you if there's an ounce more in your salad.
Ditto what Ranier said. I usually measure green beans and broccoli, etc. For salads, I usually use the same container or bowl, measure it once and based on how fool it is, fill it about the same next time. I top my salad with onions, cukes, and sometimes tomatoes, I don't measure those. Complex are always measured and watched more closely.
