I jsut recently gave birth 7 weeks ago to a healthy baby boy. I have been breastfeeding him the whole time and at his checkup appt last week he had not gain any weight since his two week checkup. Because of my strict diet and hard training my milk had no fat in it and I was not producing enough so I am having to supplment with formula. Since then he has gained over a pound with the formula and breastfeeding. I was told to add more fat in my diet and I want to stick with a clean healthy diet because I am still training hard and trying to put on some more muscle. I was thinking of laying my meals out as followed

meal 1: 1/2cup oatmeal
2 whites and 2 yolks a total of 4 eggs
meal 2: 1 scoop of MP
1 sccop of UMP with 1 cup of 1% milk
meal 3: 6oz chicken 1 cup of veggies and 2/3cups of brown rice
meal 4: 2 scoops of UMP
meal 5: Twice a week 6oz of 90% lean beef and the rest of the week 6oz of Tilpai cooked with 1/2tbs of extra virgin olive oil and 2 cups of spinach with 1tbs of flax oil and 1tbs of vingear ( I have this meal as a salad everynight)
meal 6: MP brownie. 2 scoops of MP with 1tbs of natural peanut butter or almond butter

I was just curious if this is to much fat or if anyone had other suggestions. Before I was not eating any fat in my diet besides the 1tbs of flaxoil and I know women need fat in there diet. I just don't want to gain much weight but be healthy at the same time.

That looks pretty good as you have it Penny. The only thing I would change is the meal 2+4. I would have 1 scoop UMP with 2 tbsp Heavy Whipping Cream. That would give you about 10 grams of healthy fats per shake which is a good amount. You just need to drop a little bit of protein which is why I mentioned ONLY 1 SCOOP UMP.

Give it a shot, the rest of the diet looks just fine. GET THAT BABY GROWING! That is the most important thing!!

Thanks Vijay! Should I drop the milk in meal #2 and just do 1 scoop of UMP with 2tbs of Heavy Whipping Cream?
