I am about 5 weeks out from a Figure competition and having a very hard time with the diet. Seems like I am constantly hungry and the cravings are incredible. Can anyone offer any advice on how to get past this?

I usually save the sugar free jello until I'm REALLY craving something. It gives me something to look forward to having during those times. I also drink a lot of Crystal Light. It has brought me through MANY tough moments!

I have the most trouble mid-day and evening when I get home from work. I am also concerned about artificial sweetners...I will try Crystal Lite though!

Try adding suger free/fat free instant pudding mix to a scoop of protein powder. Then add water to make a pudding and freeze for 30- 45 minutes. Taste like ice cream!

I make popsicles out of crystal light. They keep me preoccupied and my mind off the hunger. They taste great too. Give them a try.

I too am having bad cravings. Mine is for natural peanut butter. I have somehow convinced myself that it isn't that bad, and I was using it as a chaser to my flax oil (just a little bit on the end of my spoon as a reward for gagging down the oil (YUCK). One thing leads to another, and the next thing you know I am eating a banana slathered with peanut butter. (Neither are on my plan by the way and Rachel has reminded me of that fact.) I don't worry about these bad habits off season, since I'm trying to gain muscle and am an eating machine at that point anyway, but now I am 15 weeks out and trying to clean up the diet. Other than banning peanut butter from my home (and the husband wouldn't be too happy about that) any ideas? I have become a kitchen sneak-eater, since my husband helps me stay on track I tend to binge when he is napping. Other than that I am on the plan 100%. Should I just avoid my kitchen alone??? Maybe when my husband naps I should leave the house to walk or something, it really bothers me that my willpower is so lacking in those instances.

If you take EFAs throughout the day, it helps at night, but once you are in a pinch, try the Crystal Lite with CALCIUM. REALLY makes a difference... Also, a scoop of Bev's Glutamine Select makes it go away. Then go to bed! Wink

I HAVE BEEN TOLD NUMEROUS TIMES THAT CRYSTAL LIGHT HAS HIDDEN SUGARS AND SPIKES INSULIN LEVELS.
DOES NO ONE BUY THIS???
