Out of the three what is the best kind of fat to have in the off season on a clean bulking diet.
1) Natty PB 2) Almond Butter or 3) Heavy Whipping Cream |

All are very good choices, and I don't see one as being better than the others. Use them all and add some variety to your diet.

Overall, if you are doing an off season bulking plan you would be fine to use any of those fats, although if choosing a “butter” you’d be better off with almond or cashew butter rather than pb. Almond and cashew butter come from a nut and pb actually comes from a legume, not a nut at all.
Heavy whipping cream is a super choice, especially if you are using some Ultra Size protein powder with it. Bodybuilding legends Reho Blair and Vince Gironda taught this method to us; using this combination of proteins with heavy whipping cream and even some whole eggs if great for mass gains. Other benefits of the cream: helps with the digestion of protein, helps with natural testosterone production, it has no dairy sugars and it tastes good. Rachel Wade Beverly International |

Oh yeah, it's totally great with UMP too. Both UMP and US are great pre bedtime shakes because of thier slow release nature. They will feed you a steady, time released supply of aminos while you sleep. Your muscles will wake up happy and nourished.
A lot of times Heavy Whipping Cream is just called Heavy Cream at the grocery. It's by the half and half, milk and eggs in the dairy section. Rachel Wade Beverly International |

Hey Rachel, thanks for the help. I just have one more question. I have a competition this Sat (INBF Naturalmania) I am gonna to eat everything in sight Sat night and Sunday. Then get on a clean bulk diet starting Monday...
I know that my fats should come from EFA's and the heavy cream. I know I need 15g of EFA per 100lbs and I am around 201lbs so that leaves me with 3 tbl spoons of EFA's a day (30g)... My question is in adition to that how many tbl spoons of Heavy cream should I have a day? |

Here is everything you need to know (and more) about why and how we use heavy cream in many diets.
First of all, it is NOT Cool Whip. Heavy Whipping Cream can be found in the milk and creamer section of your local grocer. It comes in a little milk carton and is often used in cooking. Heavy Cream is a source of fat and calories but does not contain any lactose, so those of you who are lactose intolerant will not have any problem consuming it. Cream helps with the digestion of protein, with natural testosterone production, has no dairy sugars, and it tastes good. Others that recommend this method are Rob Faigin (Natural Hormonal Enhancement), Arnold Schwarzenegger, (Encyclopedia of Bodybuilding), Vince Gironda and Rheo Blair who taught this method to us. We recommend heavy cream on food plans for all types of goals - weight gain, build muscle and lose fat AND some rapid fat loss plans. The cream helps get fat into the diet and keep the calories in a range to build muscle AND/OR retain it during hard dieting. The foods and portions that the cream is combined with will vary based on the person’s particular goals. The only way do to build muscle and lose fat at the same time is with higher calories (to build muscle - thus the cream) and low sugar and carbs to utilize fat for energy. If you added the extra calories you need from carbs or sugar, your body will have no reason to go through the trouble of retrieving stored fat for energy. Adding in your calories from even more protein can get very expensive. Here’s a perfect example of how and why the cream is used. Let’s say you need 3000 calories a day spread over 6 meals. That means you need 500 calories per meal. Now 3 scoops of Ultra Size will give you 360 Calories. Since your 140 calories short of getting your required 500 calories per meal, you would add 3 tablespoons of Heavy Cream (at 45 calories per tablespoon) and now you have a total of 495 calories. Adding in an extra 4th scoop of Ultra Size may be more protein than you need and again, it increases cost much more than some added cream. Plus adding Heavy Cream to a drink tastes incredible! This same principle also applies if you are doing just two scoops of a protein. Studies published in the Journal of the American Medical Association show that the high fat has favorable effects on cholesterol, blood pressure and other markers generally thought to worsen from fat intake. (This information was used to support the Atkins diet which recommends more saturated fat than we have in any of our diets - up to 80% fat.) Most of our plans range between 20% and 35% fat even with the added cream. You can substitute flax oil, canola oil, safflower oil, or olive oil if you are concerned with saturated fat. |

Hi Menna.
Good luck in your show this weekend. Let us know how you do. Try not to eat yourself into a comma after your show. A lot of people who use Beverly and are looking for mass gain like to take in some EFA’s and some heavy cream to get the best of both worlds. I recommend starting with 3 caps of EFA Gold two to three times per day and to do about 2 tbsp of heavy whpping cream in each Ultra Size or UMP shake a day (assuming two to three shakes per day). Montior your progress and see if you feel you need more once you’ve been on this new plan for about a month. You don’t want to increase your overall calorie intake too much too quickly after your show. Think about it…you’ve been on a restricted calorie diet for weeks now. If you try adding too much food all at once, even if you load up on clean calories, your body isn’t ready to process all those calories yet. Add calories back in slowly at the beginning for best results. Once you’ve added more calories for about a month, you should be able to increase even more without any trouble.
