I just finished competing in 2 figure competitions back to back, last one was saturday. I was at the best, leanest I have ever been. I know its unrealistic to maintain "peak condition" all year and that my body is trying to rebalance ect... but psychologically it's hard to watch myself lose the hardness and my abs ;(... where did they go. All that work.
my question is this> how do you all mentally deal with this? This is probably the hardest part of the sport, especially for women. any suggestions. |

Hi J....I am with you on this one. I am feeling the exact same way. I go through this every show. I find if I continue to weight train the week after the show ( to a lesser degree) do some fun cardio, it helps. If I go cold turkey I miss the endorphines...and then tend to feel more down. So stay active !!
I will email you...Leslie |
